Choosing the right doctor
Choosing a primary care physician (PCP) is an important first step in managing the health of you and your family. NSPG's primary care physicians are on staff at North Shore Medical Center and are connected to the experts across the Partners HealthCare network, which includes Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital.
Primary care for adults
Internal medicine primary care physicians provide physical examinations, routine health screenings and preventative care for adults. A few of our primary care physicians offer concierge primary care for an annual wellness fee (described below).
Primary care for the whole family
Family medicine primary care physicians are specially trained to treat patients of all ages. They offer annual check-ups and age-appropriate screenings and vaccinations, as well as preventive medicine. Some NSPG family medicine physicians have sub-specialty training in adolescent medicine, geriatric medicine and sports medicine.
Selecting a family medicine physician to care for all members of your family means that your physician will have a more detailed understanding of the family's health history and the health dynamics between generations, which will help them provide more consistent care.
