North Shore Urgent Care is your best option when you need immediate care but are not facing a life-threatening emergency. Our experienced, compassionate staff are led by board-certified physicians and health care providers. We offer same-day care so you can get back to feeling like yourself sooner. All patients are welcome (you do not need to be a patient of NSPG or NSMC).

What conditions do we treat at North Shore Urgent Care?
Non-life threatening conditions include but are not limited to:
- Allergies and asthma
- Bruises, cuts and scratches, minor burns
- Cold or flu, cough or sore throat
- Ear and eye infections
- Minor fractures
- Muscle cramps or spasms
- Rashes or minor swelling
- Severe headaches
- Sore throat and sinus pain
- Sprains and other muscle and joint strains
We are not equipped to handle medical emergencies.
Medical emergencies include:
- Active bleeding
- Active labor
- Difficulty breathing
- Chest pain
- Heart attack
If you are experiencing a life-threatening condition, call 911 or go to the Emergency Department at NSMC Salem Hospital.
Transfers and Referrals
If a patient requires more complex care, our staff will quickly arrange a transfer to the emergency department at NSMC Salem Hospital or NSMC Union Hospital. North Shore Urgent Care staff can also coordinate follow-up care with other specialists at North Shore Physicians Group, North Shore Medical Center, Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital, or other world-class experts in the Partners Healthcare network.
