When you choose an OBGYN doctor from North Shore Physicians Group to deliver your baby, your delivery will take place at the NSMC Birthplace, a full-service maternity center on the Salem campus. Our family-focused facility is staffed by board-certified obstetricians, anesthesiologists, certified nurse midwives, neonatologists and experienced nurses. We are as experienced in high-risk pregnancies as we are at addressing the needs and concerns of first-time mothers.
Our Special Care Nursery is a Level IIB facility for newborns in need of medical monitoring and specialized services. We closely collaborate with the NICUs at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. We also have a dedicated laborist – an OBGYN doctor who is based at the NSMC Birthplace and who delivers babies and cares for in-patient pregnant women.
Gynecological care with an NSPG OBGYN doctor.
Our gynecologists provide all the services of an OBGYN doctor but do not deliver babies. They are surgeons with expertise in diagnostic and surgical procedures, and they also provide well woman care. Several NSPG gynecologists specialize in minimally invasive surgical techniques to treat a range of gynecological diseases.
