Our pulmonology services
We offer outpatient pulmonology services at our Salem practice. These include:
- Spirometry testing and ambulatory oximetry testing.
- Home testing for sleep disorder diagnosis.
Inpatient pulmonology services
NSMC Salem Hospital: We offer pulmonology consultations and critical care, working closely with NSMC hospitalists to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients with pulmonology disorders. In our intensive care unit we provide state-of-the-art care for critically ill patients in respiratory failure and patients with multi-system disease.
Spaulding Hospital North Shore: We provide pulmonology rehabilitation and long-term acute care for patients with respiratory failure requiring mechanical ventilation.
Pulmonary TB clinic
At our pulmonary TB clinic at NSMC Salem Hospital, our pulmonology team evaluates and treats patients with tuberculosis, working closely with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
NSMC Sleep Center
For sleep disorders, our pulmonology specialists work closely with NSMC Sleep Center specialists. Our sleep medicine physicians conduct sleep studies and diagnose sleep disorders such as sleep apnea. After diagnosis is complete, our pulmonology team provides comprehensive follow-up care and education for patients with sleep disorders.
