The newest member of our team is orthopedic surgeon Nicholas Schraut, M.D., who specializes in hip and knee surgery as well as total joint replacement surgery. Fellowship trained at the Hospital for Special Surgery and the University of Chicago Hospitals, Dr. Schraut combines his training and expertise to provide provide patients with the latest treatment options.
Michael Kolosky, D.O., specializes in sports injuries, cartilage restoration, joint preservation, knee and shoulder replacements and cutting-edge treatment options such as orthobiologics. These advanced treatment options can help eliminate pain, regain mobility and in some cases even avoid joint replacement surgery.
Orthobiologics are state-of-the-art restorative therapies which use substances naturally found in the body to help promote healing. These therapies may include using stem cells, platelet rich plasma or other cells from your body. Dr. Kolosky is the only surgeon on the North Shore, and one of the few in the region, to offer a such wide range of orthobiologic treatment options.
