Scheduling an in-person appointment
In-person appointments will be scheduled to allow for ample time between patients. When you make your appointment by phone, a member of our staff will ask you a series of questions, as well as verifying your insurance information and providing any additional instructions relating to your visit.
- Patient Gateway members will also receive a pre-screening questionnaire as part of the e-check-in process 72 hours prior to the appointment.
- Patients who are not on Patient Gateway will receive a pre-screening phone call 48 hours prior to the appointment.
- You will be asked to verify your answers again when you check in.
On the day of your appointment and upon arrival to the practice, please call the office to let them know you are in your car in the parking lot to complete the check-in process. If you are unable to wait in the car, please let your provider’s office know in advance. At this time, no visitors are permitted on site, with an exception for a few situations.
Mask Policy and Hand Hygiene
All patients are asked to wear a mask or a face covering to appointments. Upon your arrival in our offices, you will use hand sanitizer and place a mask that we supply to you over your own mask.
All of our staff will also be wearing masks. In addition, we screen all physicians and staff daily, and anyone with symptoms of a possible respiratory illness is not permitted to work until they are cleared to return.
Our NSPG team will also be practicing hand hygiene. We have several hand sanitizer stations throughout our offices and facilities, so patients and staff can clean their hands easily and frequently.
Exam rooms will be cleaned and disinfected thoroughly after every patient. We have also reconfigured our office spaces to allow for social distancing. To prevent transmission of hidden infections, we have removed magazines and children’s toys from our waiting rooms.
You will no longer need to stop at the desk after your visit is completed. You will receive your visit summary electronically as well as your bill if you have a co-payment. If you need to schedule a follow-up appointment, our office will contact you by telephone or Patient Gateway.
COVID-19 Care: Drive Up Testing and Respiratory Clinics
NSPG has several resources to assist those patients who require testing or treatment while recovering from COVID-19. If you have symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone with the disease, please contact your primary care physician to discuss testing options.

Do not Delay Seeking Care
Please do not delay your care. Waiting can make your symptoms and conditions worse and require more complex treatment. Call your physician if you have concerns. If you are having a medical emergency such as stroke or heart attack, call 911 and go to the nearest emergency department, including the Emergency Department at Salem Hospital.
