These 90-minute appointments are conducted in a group setting with a physician, multidisciplinary team and other patients. Our board certified sports medicine physician, Navid Mahooti, MD, MPH, is specially trained to treat sports-related medical problems and non-surgical orthopedic problems. NSMC physician, Ernesto Da Silva, M.D., was recently named Community Primary Care Physician of the Year by Partners HealthCare at the Second Annual Primary Care Recognition Dinner on Thursday, March 4, 2010. Dr. Da Silva, who practices Internal Medicine at North Shore Physicians Group's 496 Lynnfield Street office in Lynn, was recognized by his colleagues for excellence in clinical care and was acknowledged as a superior clinician and excellent diagnostician.

We are excited to announce that Dr. Shant Parseghian, Endocrinologist, will be extending his practice in Salem. He will be seeing patients in Salem on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at our 331 Highland Avenue office and on Fridays at our 400 Highland Avenue office (see full schedule and locations).
North Shore Physicians Group has extended Dr. Parseghian's practice in order to meet the needs and demands of endocrinology patients in Salem and in the surrounding communities. Our current Endocrinologist at 331 Highland Avenue, Dr. Rick Fisher, is retiring on December 30th. We expect that Dr. Parseghian will help fill this gap, and will continue to be available to provide care to all NSPG patients at any of his practice locations.

Several NSPG physicians have also received a 95% customer satisfaction rating from their patients. Surveys conducted by the American Medical Group Association showed that several NSPG physicians were given very high scores in the areas of excellence of care and likelihood of recommending this physician to friends and family.

CRICO, a leader in evidence-based risk management, announced that North Shore Physicians Group was a "Top Scorer" in the 2006 and 2007 "Medical Practice Evaluation" Audit in Patient Safety and Quality of Care.
CRICO acknowledged NSPG for developing and implementing key office process and clinical systems in the management and tracking of chronic disease management. As a result of our excellent record in disease management, NSPG staff members were asked to share our quality initiatives in diabetes management at the 2007 CRICO conference.
