An urgent care center is not an emergency room.

We do not treat emergencies

An urgent care clinic is equipped to handle urgent but not life-threatening medical needs. If you are suffering from a stroke, chest pains or heart attack, if you are in active labor, if you’re experiencing excessive bleeding or are having a hard time breathing, you should seek care from an emergency room immediately or call 911.

All patients are welcome.

Our urgent care center treats everyone – infants, children, adolescents and adults. We are affiliated with North Shore Physicians Group (NSPG) and Salem Hospital, but we accept all patients regardless of whether they under the care of Salem Hospital or NSPG family medicine specialists, pediatricians or internal medicine specialists.

Conditions treated by our urgent care center.

Our urgent care center is designed to handle illnesses and injuries that require immediate attention but which are not life-threatening. These include:

  • Cold or flu
  • Cough or sore throat
  • Ear and eye infections
  • Allergies
  • Minor fractures
  • Sprains and other muscle and joint strains
  • Bruises, small cuts, scratches or minor burns

Referrals for care following a trip to our urgent care center

When you come to our urgent care center for treatment, we’ll do our best to provide the medical services you require. If we determine that your condition would be best treated in an emergency room, we’ll make arrangements to transfer you to the nearest hospital. We can also refer you for follow-up care to physicians across a range of specialties, for example, to OBGYN specialists or to a spine specialist for a variety of neurosurgery procedures.
